Dr. Savanna Yager obtained her Veterinary Medicine at the Western University of Health Sciences, graduating in the top 5% of her class. She attended California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo and double majored in Animal Science and Biotechnology. Raised in a family of English Cocker Spaniel breeders, she developed a passion for veterinary medicine at a young age. She began working in vet hospitals in high school as a volunteer and eventually became a Registered Veterinary Technician while working on her undergraduate degree.

She was president of the student chapters for the Society of Theriogenology (veterinary reproduction)and the Veterinary Society for Animal Behavior during veterinary school. Dr Yager served on an advisory board for medical practitioners through the Department of Justice from 2014-2019 working to educate physicians on the safe and ethical use and training of service dogs. Dr. Yager works to provide high quality, compassionate care by forming lasting connections with clients and patients and going above and beyond expectations. Her primary interests include Reproduction, Behavior, Internal Medicine, and client communication/service.

Outside of work, she trains her dogs for obedience competitions and enjoys outdoor activities like paddle boarding, kayaking, camping, and fire spinning. She currently owns an English Cocker Spaniel, a Great Dane, a Cane Corso and a Siberian Husky and has a special place in her heart for all giant breeds.
